Preparing "Verified Data" for Charter Renewal

For many charter schools, "verified data" will be a critical component of the next charter renewal. Per statute through 2025, authorizers must consider verified data presented by charter schools in renewal. The state has not approved a methodology for using CAASPP data to show student growth, which elevates the role of state-approved local assessments. Join CSDC and three data support providers for a look at how to present verified data for renewal, with the complexities and challenges that entails - especially across a pandemic. The presentation will include a quick review of the renewal standards. Attendees aiming for a more complete understanding of renewal may want to attend the Intro to Charter Renewal, Data, and Accountability workshop, the Charter Renewal “Basics” session, and, if applicable, the Charter Renewal “Track Sorting” Strategy session.
