Q: Are presenters required to be in-person for this year's conference?
Yes, all presenters are required to be in-person. We are not offering a virtual presentation option this year. CSDC will work with presenters to ensure that they feel comfortable and clear with our health and safety protocols. Additionally, all participants agree to abide by the CSDC Code of Conduct.
Q: If my proposal is accepted what's the next step?
You will receive email notification if your proposal is accepted in mid-July. You’ll need to confirm your session within the Presenter Portal in mid-August. See presenter deadlines above.
Please note: If you have several presenters, each presenter needs to confirm their participation and upload their headshot and bio by the deadline.
Please upload a high quality, 300x300ppx photo. Accepted formats: JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png). Size limit: 5MB. Image files should be named with the presenter's name (example: JoeSmith.jpg or Smith, Joe.png).
Please make a special effort to check the spelling in the title and description of your proposal. In addition, all acronyms must be spelled out on first reference — for example "The California Department of Education (CDE)" can then be listed as just "CDE" in all following references.
Q: Is there required pre-conference training?
Accepted presenters must participate in the required pre-conference training online hosted by CSDC staff.
These trainings will include:
- An overview of who is registered for the 2023 CSDC Conference and likely to attend your session
- CSDC’s suggestions for participant engagement
- What to anticipate from this year’s schedule and other event logistics.
The training also allows the CSDC event team to answer your questions ahead of time. Presenters must attend one training. Please review the scheduled days and times below and plan to join us.
