Conference Scholarships
CSDC is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships each year, thanks to the generous contributions of our Scholarship Sponsors. Individuals seeking to attend the conference and needing financial support can apply for a scholarship for the annual CSDC Conference. Please read the information about these scholarship opportunities carefully.
Eligibility for Scholarships
Individuals in good standing with CSDC, including prior participation in membership, programs, and previous events, shall be eligible to apply for Annual Conference Scholarships subject to the following: Priority consideration may be given to schools or organizations with limited financial resources; organizations serving historically under-resourced communities; applicants demonstrating financial need or budgetary constraints that would otherwise limit conference participation; and founding teams or organizations planning to open a new charter school. Applicants meeting one or more of these circumstances, particularly those serving students in historically underserved communities, will be given priority consideration.
Application
Completed applications will be reviewed by the CSDC planning team for eligibility. The team will award scholarship(s) based on funding available. Where possible every scholarship will equal one early member-rate registration, or scholarships may vary depending on funds available. If a chosen participant has already registered and paid for their conference registration, the difference between the award and what they paid, whichever is greater, will be refunded upon acceptance of their scholarship.

- Applicants demonstrating how the scholarship will benefit them
- Applicants demonstrating how the scholarship will have student impact
- Applicants intending to continue engaging in future CSDC trainings, professional development, and membership
Timeline
Applications for the CSDC Conference scholarship(s) will include the application form completed by the member at the link below and a letter of support from the member’s supervisor, school leader, board member, or professional ally submitted via online form. Both components must be received by the deadline.

- Application Deadline: September 12, 2026 at 11:59PM
- Scholarship Recipients Notified via Email: mid-September
- Scholarship Acceptance Deadline: as stated in email
Transferability of Scholarship Award(s)
Scholarships awarded for the conference are awarded to an individual and, as such, are non-transferable. Scholarships are awarded only for the current year’s Annual Conference and cannot be deferred to any other CSDC conference or event. Recipients must confirm their intent to accept the award by the stated deadline in the email.
