Essential Charter School Policies: 2025-26 Edition
This popular annual session provides charter schools the (long and growing!) list of the policies charter schools need to have in place to be legally compliant. The presenters will cover a lot of material in a short session, highlighting recent changes and new requirements for the 2025-26 school year. All participants will receive the session's annual handout, which helps serve as a guide for school policy development and cross-checking.
The presenters will answer questions and point schools to sample policies and resources where available (including those of CSDC!) and will discuss best practices for school teams to organize and keep policies updated.
The presentation also covers annual notices charter schools must provide, and legal requirements for what policies and content must be posted to a school website. Join this jampacked session to cross-check policies and learn tips for developing great policies.
