Terence Johnson is the CEO of Caliber Public Schools in the East Bay, where he leads efforts to drive educational excellence and equity. With over 35 years of experience in education, Terence has a distinguished career that spans roles as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in underserved communities across Colorado, Texas, Memphis and California. Terence’s impact extends beyond school leadership. As Senior Director of Leadership Development Programs at the KIPP Foundation, he was pivotal in designing and implementing the Leadership Pathways programs. These programs, which include Leadership Team, Principal Prep, Miles Family Fellow, and Teacher Leader Programs, have been critical in developing the next generation of educational leaders. He holds a B.A. in Education from Colorado State University, an M.A. from the University of Colorado. Terence’s career is marked by a deep commitment to advancing educational opportunities and fostering strong leadership within schools.
