Let’s be completely honest with ourselves: there’s too much to do and not enough time to do it all. Work-life balance hangs in the balance in our schools and workplaces. What can we possibly do to fix what’s broken and rebuild a system that actually works?

The research on healthy workplaces suggests that there are 5 institutional flaws that cause burnout and 15 specific teachable skills that can shift a workplace from surviving to thriving. This breakout session offers school leaders an overview of the literature and an introduction to the 15 characteristics of conscious leadership.

Participants will spend the last half of the session designing and receiving feedback on an action plan to create work-life balance for themselves as the first step to transforming their organization as a whole.
